Viton X-Rings or also known as FKM Quad Rings have a dual sealing feature opposed to an O-ring and can be used in a broad range of static and vibrant locking apps. Compared to a conventional O-ring, the four-lobed structure offers the sealing twice. To keep an efficient seal, the double-seal intervention needs less squeeze. This squeeze decrease implies less friction and better seal lives. In addition, the FKM X-Ring dividing lines are distant from the locking surface between the bones.For high temperature applications and/or for contact with aggressive chemical products, FKM-Viton® X-Rings are a great solution. FKM-Viton® is the most resistant material of all synthetic rubbers to halifatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Viton® is a trademark of Chemours and is a hexafluoropropilene thermopolymer containing vynilidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene and sodium etherperfluoride Vynil. FPM or FKM Fluorocarbon monomer is its global abbreviation.
