Rare Alloys
Rare Alloys and metalloids differ from rare earth elements in both physical and chemical properties. The Rare Alloys, on the other hand, are varied, with few overriding commonalities. Niobium, tantalum, cobalt, indium, zirconium, gallium, and lithium are the critical rare metals and metalloids mentioned in this section.
The majority of these elements are mined in sufficient amounts to supply global demand. However, the few nations with commercially viable sources of essential materials are simultaneously undergoing technical industry booms, labor exploitation, and political instability.
This threatens the global supply of Rare Alloys over the next 100 years unless mining and consumption practices are changed.
All of the key rare metals and metalloids have unique chemical and physical features. Because of these qualities, rare metals may be employed in a variety of energy and technological applications.
