Copper alloysAre you aware of the various copper alloys and their applications? Copper alloys are metal mixtures that, when combined, form a single substance. These unique combinations are employed to provide qualities ranging from strength and stiffness to ductility and corrosion resistance. 

Copper and its alloys are commonly classified into six families: coppers, dilute copper alloys, brasses, bronzes, copper nickels, and nickel silvers. Dilute copper alloys contain trace levels of various alloying materials that alter one or more of copper's fundamental characteristics.

Copper alloys are metal alloys with copper as the main component. They are very corrosion-resistant. The most well-known traditional varieties are bronze, which contains a substantial amount of tin, and brass, which contains zinc instead.

However, there are up to 400 distinct copper and copper alloy compositions, which are informally classified as copper, high copper alloy, brasses, bronzes, copper nickels, copper-nickel-zinc (nickel silver), leaded copper, and special alloys.
