We offer stainless bends – which can be seamless or welded. Seamless butt weld elbows are made directly from a section of seamless pipe material, by applying heat and pressure to transform pipe directly into an elbow. 

A seamless fitting has no welded parts by itself, a characteristic demanded in some critical applications. By comparison, a regular welded elbows have one, two or more welds, depending on dimension, shape and manufacturing method. No weld means less risk of weld yield and porosities.

Welded elbows are made of separate segments of pipes and have much lower price. And because weld pipes are made of steel plates, usually welded elbow fittings have an uniform wall thickness except for the weld seam area.

We always suggest real seamless for all pipe fittings equal to or smaller than DN600. The advantages of real seamless elbows are apparent:
1) Real seamless elbows have more excellent mechanical properties hence can withstand much higher pressure.
2) No need of X-Ray inspection on the weld seam.
3) Long lifespan and safety assurance.

Usually welded stainless bends are used when the pipe diameters are too big  and the costs to produce seamless bends from one piece are too high.
