PE 1000 / PE-UHMW rods
are made of thermoplastic Polyethylene with high molecular weight (as determined by viscometric method). Thanks to their high molecular weight, this type of PE is an ideal material for applications requiring excellent sliding properties and wear resistance. The UHMW-PE rods offer very high molecular weight and great abrasion resistance.
Polyethylene 1000 / PE 1000 rods have excellent impact strength and good UV and weather resistance. They have very good slide and wear properties. The UHMW-PE rods have an average molecular weight 4.500.000 g/mol.
Polyethylene 1000 / PE 1000 rods have an extremely strong resistance to abrasion and scratches and very low friction coefficient. That's why PE 1000 rods are used very often in the food and packaging industries, as well as in applications where strong mechanical properties or low friction are needed.
