Silicone Sponge Extruded Profiles
Where applications demand the physical properties and characteristics of silicone rubber, but in an alternative sponge form, we can deliver it. An extensive range of silicone sponge profiles are available, with dies being simple and inexpensive to manufacture when custom items are required.
This allows us a great design freedom. Popular extruded silicone sponge profiles include silicone sponge tubes, sponge seals, silicone sponge ‘U’ sections, ‘T’ sections, ‘e’ sections, ‘D’ sections and ‘P’ sections.
Sponge silicone strip can be extruded or slit from sheet. These densities may vary from 200, 250, 400 and 550g per cubic metre.
Further options available include intermediate densities, materials and high temperatures grades for 270°C in a large variety of colours with metal detectable grades also available, usually in grey. When an FDA grade silicone sponge is required, we can offer our FDA grade sponge; a platinum cured material that conforms to FDA 177.2600 and EC 1935/2004 standards.
