• Polyamide 66 sheets

(PA 66) Polyamide 66 sheets

have good rigidity, hardness, abrasion resistance and thermal dimensional stability. With respect to these particular aspects, PA66 offers certain advantages compared to PA 6. Compared to the cast types, PA 66 has higher moisture absorption. With regard to all other characteristics, PA 66 is comparable to the standard cast type PA 6 G, but more expensive.

Characteristics of Polyamide 66 sheets:

  • good mechanical strength
  • high impact strength
  • good damping characteristics
  • good resistance to wear
Polyamide 66 sheets, compared to Polyamide 6 are more rigid, durable and solid. Like all polyamides, Polyamide 66 has good chemical resistance, including fuel, oils, greases, petroleum products, the majority of organic solvents, and alkalis. Compared to other polyamides Polyamide 66 sheets are more heat-resistant (exception only RA 46), have a higher deformation resistance, and low moisture absorption comparatively.

Polyamide  66 has very good sliding properties and excellent wear resistance. Polyamide 66 has good electrical insulation properties. It is easy to mechanical working, easily welded and glued. One of the advantages Polyamide 66 is high fatigue resistance and higher heat resistance in comparison with polyamide 6. Polyamide 66 has good damping properties and resistance to high dynamic loads. Polyamide 66 is used in the nodes instead of Polyamide 6 in cases where high stiffness and density at the expense of flexibility.

Even in difficult operating conditions, it is very hardwearing. For moving parts, it does not require lubrication, since it has a naturally low coefficient of friction. Polyamide 66 has very good compressive strength and very high tensile stress. The melting point is much higher than that of Polyamide 6. Polyamide 66 has a high resistance to radiation.
