WEICON Urethane-60

WEICON Urethane-60 is a liquid resin for elastic molding and protective coating based on polyurethane provides high impact resistance and wear resistance.

 
Urethanes are suitable for casting. They are non-shrink compounds, used in the manufacture of new or customized rubber products, as well as for flexible forms. WEICON Urethane-60 can be used to repair worn or damaged rubber equipment parts, to create a protective coating in a very intensive abrasion, as well as to recover items that are subject to wear, vibration, shock and dynamic loads.
These repair products have good adhesion to metal, rubber, concrete, fiberglass, wood and many other materials. They are easily applied by a trowel, brush or gun and cure rapidly to form a solid "rubber-like" compounds, which have excellent tensile strength and resistance to abrasion.

Pretreatment of the surface:
The surfaces must be clean, dry and degreased. Almost every surface soiling like oil, grease, dust and dirt can be removed with WEICON Surface Cleaner or WEICON Sealant and Adhesive Remover (old paint residues). If the surfaces are badly soiled or smooth, the adhesion can be optimized by sand-blasting with suitable grain size or by mechanical roughening.
