Silicone coated glass tape
is a glass fibre tape covered with a thick layer of red silicone rubber which provides the tape with a high level of heat insulation. It is a very flexible tape, which is suitable for protecting hoses and electric cables by means of bandaging without having to disassemble or disconnect the parts to be covered. It offers continuous protection at operating temperatures of 250°C and can withstand splashes of molten metal up to 1200°C. It is resistant to most oils and fuels, hydraulic fluids, acids and alkalis.
APPLICATIONS
Protection of cables, wires and hoses against extreme heat, fire protection, insulation of hoses against loss of heat for the steel and naval industries, industrial furnaces, automotive sector, foundries, steel works, oil rigs.
