Reinforced Graphite Gaskets

The reinforced graphite gaskets are made with a very tiny coating of chloride-free glue is used to adhere the graphite sheet to the insertion. This reinforcement produces a robust gasket that is manageable and straightforward to convert into gaskets.

Reinforced graphite gaskets are fabricated from a semi-rigid graphite laminated material manufactured from high-purity exfoliated graphite reinforced with Nickel or Stainless foil or tanged stainless steel. Reinforced graphite gaskets are suitable for sealing against steam and most other media with the exception of strongly oxidizing reagents. It is recommended for use at 450C and for pressures up to 2900psi.

Service:

  • reinforced graphite gaskets are used in the chemical, petrochemical, and manufacturing sectors, graphite foil reinforced is used in a variety of applications, including pumps, compressors, and pipe joints.
  • Due to the simplicity of manual cutting, it is frequently used on-site as an alternative to Graphite Tanged in sheet form.
  • BAM for Oxygen and DVGW approvals/compliance
  • carbon content: ≥ 99 %

Technical data:

  • Temperature range: - 240° C up to 450 ° C, with steam up to 650 °C, under inert conditions up to 1.000°C
  • pH range: 0 - 14
  • pressure: 30 bar

Applications

  • Industrial Sealing
  • Chemical Processing
  • Heat Exchangers

FAQ

What materials are used in reinforced graphite gaskets?

EPDM gaskets

EPDM gaskets Due to the EPDM rubber materials' excellent resistance to aging, ozone, and weathering, the EPDM rubber gaskets are widely used in external applications. The EPDM gaskets are made of  EPDM rubber elastomer and have an impermeable surface which is ideal for use with most alkalines, ketones and diluted acids, offering strong abrasion resistance. In medium-range sealing applications, EPDM gaskets are widely used and as flange g..

Silicone gaskets

Silicone gaskets Silicone gasket sheet material is a very versatile material ideal for a wide range of applications. Silicone rubber gasket material offers temperature resistance, weather (UV and ozone) resistance, and fire resistance. Silicone gasket material has very good compression set resistance allowing it to maintain a proper seal over many years. Silicone gaskets offer exceptional high and low-temperature capability while maintaining excellent flexibility. ..

NBR Rubber gaskets

NBR Rubber gaskets

NBR Rubber gaskets - gaskets made of  oil-resistant NBR Nitrile rubber NBR gaskets are made of a rubber also known as Buna-N, which is the most widely used elastomer for seals and gaskets. Its properties provide superior resistance to petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic fluids, gasoline, alkalis and acids. Nitrile is the polymer of choice for applications requiring oil and solvent resistance. We fabricate die cut nitrile NBR gaskets in a wide variety of grades, thi..

Flexible Graphite Gaskets

Flexible Graphite Gaskets

Flexible Graphite Gaskets:  Our gaskets made from graphite flake material excel in extreme conditions, withstanding heat, pressure and aggressive/corrosive chemical environments to retain stability and sealing performance in high temperatures and pressure fluctuations. Expanded graphite sheets are produced from pure, expanded flexible graphite and do not contain any other fibers or filler materials.   Graphite gaskets are universally applicable fo..

Mica Gaskets

Mica Gaskets

Mica Gaskets Mica or micanite gasket material is exceptional in it resistance to high heat. At temperatures over 500 C the ideal sealing material of flexible graphite cannot be used. Flexible graphite will coke at those elevated temperatures when oxygen is present, where mica gasket material will not (500C - 1100 C). Mica gasket material is an excellent alternative in these high temperatures (to 1100 C) applications. Some of the basics on Mica are shown below. As a gask..
