POM-C Polyacetal rods - medical grade
Acetal C Medical Grade Rod is a medical-grade engineering product conforming to the requirements specified by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and its code Federal Regulations, CFR 21. It has also been fully assessed for biocompatibility according to U.S. Pharmacopia (USP) Class VI and ISO 10993.
Acetal C Medical Grade Rod is sterilizable with hot steam, plasma as well as ethylene oxide. Acetal C Medical Grade Rod is a product with characteristics including high chemical resistance, high dimensional stability, and low moisture absorption. The long term service temperature range of Medical grade Acetal C Rod is from -50°C to 100°C and has a short term maximum service temperature of 140°C.
This grade of Polyacetal is a specially formulated medical grade acetal. The material will maintain good strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability. The acetal medical-grade rod feedstock meets POM-C medical-grade rods are available in a wide variety of standard colors and custom colors as well.
