Polyamide 12 sheets
Polyamide 12 sheets have good wear resistance and good sliding properties. It has a very low density among all engineering plastics (1.02 g / cm3). A very durable polymer that can withstand high static and dynamic loads.
The distinguishing feature of Polyamide 12 plates - low water absorption, which is typically very high for all other polyamides, which reduces the mechanical, electrical, and thermal characteristics. Polyamide 12 sheets also have improved thermal performance compared with polyamide 6.
Only Polyamide 12 sheets can operate without a significant change in mechanical properties in a wet environment, including at elevated temperatures. Easily machined as easily glued and welded. This polymer, as well as all polyamides, has good resistance to various chemicals, including exposure to oils, fats, oil, and gasoline.
The modulus of elasticity of Polyamide 12 is 2-3 times lower than the modulus of elasticity of other polyamides, indicating a high "plasticity". Polyamide 12 perfectly absorbs stresses, has a high impact strength, including notching. Polyamide 12 sheets are resistant to cracking. Polyamide 12 can be delivered as sheets and rods (round section). Polyamide 12 can be produced by extrusion, but on special requests can be made and casting.
