Hypalon® rubber sheeting - CSM

CSM / Hypalon rubber sheeting (also known as chlorosulphonated polyethylene or by the former brand name Hypalon®) is renowned for its excellent resistance to adverse atmospheric conditions and its waterproofing and acid-proofing and alkaline-proofing capacities.

CSM  / Hypalon rubber sheeting is mainly used in the construction and electrical industries for its impermeability capacities, but it is also frequently used for seals and equipment protection for the chemical and automotive industries.

CSM hypalon offers extremely good temperature resistance, age resistance, and chemical resistance (long-lived)

The CSM rubber, commonly known as Hypalon, is a rubber compound used in sealing applications that need resistance to heat and chemicals.

Excellent chemical resistance, outstanding mechanical qualities, high temperature resistance (up to +120 °C), great flame retardancy, and low gas permeability are all characteristics of the hypalon rubber. Very good resistance to age, ozone, acids, alkalis, weathering, and oils and fats are also present.

The medium-hard rubber compound, which is equivalent to vehicle tires, has a hardness of around 70°Shore A and is the typical hardness for rubber. the ideal option for several applications. Under pressure, the rubber compound maintains dimensional stability across a substantial region and springs.

Properties

  • Excellent resistance to oxidation and has outstanding resistance to atmospheric conditions and in particular strong sunlight and ozone.
  • Temperature Range: -35º C to +120º C.
  • CSM compounds resist fire and are self-extinguishing.
  • Resistance to chemicals; resistant to most inorganic chemical products, good resistance to general acids, oils and greases.
