Silicone Gaskets

We have on stock and cut wide variety of silicone rubber gaskets.  Silicone has excellent weathering properties and handles both hot and cold temperature extremes; resists ozone and oxygen attack.  A long service life can be expected in the range of 93°C to 204°C. We cut silicone rubber gaskets from the silicone sheet.

Because silicone gaskets are odorless and tasteless, they are ideal for certain surgical and food processing applications. Typically heat resistant and rubber-like, Silicone rubber gaskets are used in a variety of industries including:

  • The silicone gaskets cut by us are excellent electrical (insulators)
  • The VMQ gaskets are perfect for use with office machines (keyboards)
  • Surgical & Food Processing (application requiring high biocompatibility)
  • The FDA approved material properties of the silicone gaskets means that they are safe to use in the food industry
  • Silicone gaskets are used in the chemical industry

The VMQ silicone gaskets themselves have poor resistance to oils, fuels, and hydrocarbons.  The gaskets made of silicone have fair performance when exposed to acids, alkalis and solvents.  The silicone gasket has fair physical properties (tensile, abrasion, tear and cut growth).

Silicone gaskets

Silicone gaskets Silicone gasket sheet material is a very versatile material ideal for a wide range of applications. Silicone rubber gasket material offers temperature resistance, weather (UV and ozone) resistance, and fire resistance. Silicone gasket material has very good compression set resistance allowing it to maintain a proper seal over many years. Silicone gaskets offer exceptional high and low-temperature capability while maintaining excellent flexibility. ..

FVMQ Fluorosilicone gaskets

FVMQ Fluorosilicone gaskets

FVMQ Fluorosilicone gaskets FVMQ FluoroSilicone rubber gaskets are made of fluorosilicone or fluorinated silicone rubber. Regular Silicone gaskets should not be used with substances that include oil or petroleum. Fluorosilicone is then used in this situation. The fluorsilicone gaskets are resistant to very hot temperatures. Additionally, they are resistant to solvents, oils, and other substances made from petroleum. Fluorosilicone FVMQ gasket m..

Sponge Silicone gaskets

Sponge Silicone gaskets

Sponge Silicone gaskets Gaskets made of foam or sponge silicone might be soft, medium-firm, hard, or extra-firm. They provide various degrees of compression. Sponge silicone gaskets must have at least 50% compression, much like sponge silicone gaskets. They may be closed-cell, open-cell, or a combination of the two. They can withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Silicone sponge gaskets which come in a range of grades, hues, densities a..

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the temperature resistance capabilities of silicone gaskets?

Silicone gaskets can withstand a wide range of temperatures, typically from 93°C to 204°C. Their ability to handle both hot and cold temperature extremes makes them suitable for various applications, including those exposed to severe environmental conditions.

In which industries are silicone gaskets commonly used?

Silicone gaskets are widely utilized in several industries due to their excellent properties, including food processing and surgical applications. Their odorless and tasteless nature, along with their resistance to ozone and oxygen attack, further enhances their usability in sensitive environments.

What differentiates FVMQ Fluorosilicone gaskets from standard silicone gaskets?

FVMQ Fluorosilicone gaskets, available at FVMQ Fluorosilicone gaskets, offer enhanced resistance to fuels and solvents compared to standard silicone gaskets. This makes them ideal for applications in the aerospace and automotive industries, where exposure to harsh chemicals is common.
