FKM Sponge Viton sheeting
The fluoroelastomeric FKM viton sponge rubber, made from fluoroelastomers combines properties from both material categories and applications which were not realizable in the past are now possible. Sponge Viton / FKM sheeting is:
- a cellular expanded fluoroelastomer with outer skin
- soft up to 15 Shore
- airtight at lowest surface pressure
Viton Sponge is a closed system of cells, formed on both sides with a continuous membrane. The skin makes sponge tougher and more immune to water. The sheets will not allow air or fluid to travel through cells, even when the skin is punctured or sliced. The non-absorbent sheets are extremely compressible, durable, lightweight and provide good thermal insulation.
Viton Sponge is typically resistant, like thick Viton board, to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, fats, liquids, ozone and temperature, lubricants, and oils from animals or plants. It's also salt resistant and hot water resistant.

Fluoroelastomeric Viton Sponge Rubber Applications
A few application examples for FKM / Viton sponge rubber sheeting:
Sealing of engine bays with large, irregular gap lengths with sponge rubber profiles. The high temperatures prevalent there in combination with oils and grease are no problem for sponge FKM. The light deformability of such profiles is recovering quick.
Applications that require high acoustic damping in conjunction with aggressive chemicals.
Due to the cellular structure of FKM / Viton sponge rubber, the heat conductivity is heavily reduced. Thus, applications that require high thermal insulation in conjunction with other extreme properties of fluoroelastomers are conceivable.
Applications that require a high toluene resistance in conjunction with a great ductility.
Sponge FKM / Viton sheeting can also be applied as soft wiping medium, in order to remove hot oil from rotating metal shafts. The service life is considerably longer than in conventional sponge rubber types.
Sponge FKM / Viton sheeting provides an interesting alternative wherever the application of silicon foam fails due to limited chemical resistance.

Sponge EPDM Sheeting
Sponge EPDM Sheeting EPDM sponge rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a closed cell sponge usually manufactured black. The main properties of EPDM sponge sheets are its excellent ozone, UV and weather and general resistance which makes this grade of material ideally suited for outdoor and automotive use. Sponge EPDM Sheeting exhibits a temperature range (-40 ˚C + 110˚C, depending on grade) which makes this material the ideal solution to seal outdoor applic..
EPDM Semi-closed cell sponge sheeting
EPDM Semi-closed cell sponge sheeting Unlike standard EPDM sponge, EPDM supper soft (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a semi closed cell sponge. This means that it contains a mixture of both open and closed cells, giving the sponge the flexibility to compress more easily. Due to the properties of EPDM super soft sponge and other EPDM materials, it is ideally suited for use in outdoor and automotive applications. EPDM semi closed cell sponge exhibits impres..
FKM / Viton commercial grade Fluoroelastomer Sheet
FKM / Viton commercial grade Fluoroelastomer Sheet The selection of the most suitable Viton rubber sheet to be used for any specific end-use implementation shall be determined by the end-use provider and, in specific, whether the detail of it must provide: acid resistance or base resistance to hydrocarbon liquids, flexibility at high temperature (holding seal at low temperature). Viton FKM sheets can handle high temperatures in aggressive fluids, ensuring reliability ..
VITON™ Rubber Sheeting - Grade A
VITON™ Rubber Sheeting - Grade A There are some intrinsic variations between the different groups of Viton fluoroelastomers in terms of pressure set strength, low heat flexibility and resistance to certain groups of liquids. Depending on their comparative strength to fluid and chemical attack, standard kinds of VitonTM fluoroelastomer products are named as A, B or F. The fluid resistance variations are the consequence of distinct fluorine concentrations in the polymer, ..
VITON™ Rubber Sheeting - Grade B
VITON™ Rubber Sheeting - Grade B Viton rubber sheets of this grade are produced of Premium Viton type B: 68% Fluorine. Viton™ type B is more resistant and maintains more stability after dry heat aging than Viton™ type A. It is suggested for applications needing maximum elastic properties preservation in combination with excellent mechanical characteristics. Viton™ type B provides superior strength to aggressive acids diluted as well as to concentrated acids. ..
