FKM or Viton is a fluoroelastomer, a special purpose fluorocarbon-based synthetic rubber. The FKM rubber offers wide chemical resistance and superior performance, especially in high temperature applications in different media.
Our FKM / Viton reinforced rubber sheets are manufactured with high quality Viton rubber compounds designed for long service. This fluorocarbon rubber sheet is reinforced with Nylon, Nomex, or Fiberglass fabric to provide strength.
The reinforced FKM sheets are recommended for use with control valves, regulators, pumps etc. Typically the reinforced FKM rubber sheets are available in one ply of fabric - multiple plies can be used for high pressures, and more demanding applications.
