Calcium silicate twisted cord
Biotex® calcium silicate twisted rope is an extremely soft and flexible gasket, ideal for continuous temperatures of up to 650°C (glass-fibre reinforced) or up to 1050°C (Inconel reinforced).
The Calcium silicate twisted cord contains approximately 20% organic binders to facilitate the carding process. The binders burn at low temperatures, but without any effect on the special glass fibres. On request, Calcium silicate twisted cord can be impregnated with graphite to increase lubricating power.
APPLICATIONS
Seals for stove and oven doors, coke furnaces (steel works), thermal insulation for electrical cables, seals for inspection doors.
