X-rings
An X-ring, also recognized as a quad ring, is regarded as a four-lip seal. In other words, when they are mounted they have at least four sealing side surfaces.
In those cases where the latter performed less well, X-rings are intended to replace an O-ring. A dynamic application could be one instance of this. X-rings range is very large, not only from the design point of view, but also due to the selection of different elastomers.
X-rings or quad rings are accessible in the very same dimensions as American-sized O-rings in accordance with the AS 568A norm. Other styles are also accessible on demand.
