Electric Actuators
An electric actuator is a device that uses an electric motor to move a load or perform an operation that requires force, such as clamping. The use of electric actuators can eliminate some mechanical pieces, such as springs, dampers, and adjusters that modify the pendulum-equilibrium position, and so is relevant to both displacement and null-balance techniques.
The actuator may provide reference thrusts during calibration. The electric valve actuators should have a rapid reaction, be frictionless owing to its noncontact nature, and provide appropriate force.
An electric actuator requires a power source to operate. Prior to selecting an actuator, it is critical to know the type of power available on-site.

This determines the sort of electric valve actuator supplied for the application. The power supply will be utilized to drive the motor via a series of reversing contactors, which can be found within the actuator or, in certain situations, in a distant cabinet.
