Single-component acetic polymerization heat resistant black silicone sealant which polymerizes at room temperature due to atmospheric humidity in order to grant a permanent and flexible bonding even at high temperatures (+250°C).
Excellent adhesion even without primer on most non-porous siliceous materials such as glass, ceramic, glazed tiles and clinker, impregnated or painted wood and some type of plastics. The user should carry out some tests due to the variety of substances. The adhesion can be improved in many cases by using a primer on the substrates.
Mainly used to glue packings and tapes for stoves and fireplaces, to seal flanges of boilers, stoves, flues, heating system ducts and piping for transporting hot fluids; to replace gaskets on pumps, engines and machine tools; to glue or seal parts of electrical appliances. The silicone is not suitable for applications that require direct flame resistance.

Do not use on substrates such as marble, concrete, fibre-reinforced concrete and mortar, or in contact with metals such as lead, copper, brass or zinc because it causes corrosion. In contact with some organic elastomers (such as EPDM, APTK and neoprene), it may take on colour. Its use on natural stones like marble, granite and quartzite is not recommended because it may cause staining. It shouldn’t be used for gluing structural glazing. It is not suitable for head gaskets or for areas exposed to the flow of fuels. |
