NBR oil resistant rubber sheetings

Nitrile NBR oil resistant rubber is mostly used where high oil resistance is required, as in automotive seals, gaskets, or other items subject to contact with hot oils. From the oil resistant rubber NBR sheeting are made technical articles of any type: tubes, membranes, rubber and rubber/metal spring elements, motor suspensions.

Resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons is better than that of neoprene but not as good as that of polysulfide. NBR sheeting has excellent resistance to mineral and vegetable oils, but relatively poor resistance to the swelling action of oxygenated solvents such as acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, and other ketones. It has good resistance to acids and bases except those having strong oxidizing effects. Resistance to heat aging is good, often a key advantage over NR.

Nitrile Rubber (NBR) Material DescriptionNitrile Rubber (NBR), also known as Buna-N, is one of the most commonly used oil-resistant sealing elastomers doe to its resistance to petroleum-based fuels and lubricants and its relatively low price. Nitrile elastomers are copolymers of acrylonitriles and butadiene. There are a number or com..
